Hi, I'm Karen, the owner, baker, decorator, chocolate enthusiast, and occasional buttercream perfectionist behind Frosted Chaos.
My cake decorating journey began more than 20 years ago while working in the bakery at Kroger. It was my late mother-in-law who first encouraged me to give it a try, and what started as a job quickly grew into a passion. Over the years, I learned new techniques, challenged myself creatively, and discovered how much I loved turning someone's vision into a dessert that became part of their celebration.
After leaving the bakery, I continued making cakes for family and friends. It allowed me to stay connected to something I loved while celebrating the people closest to me.
In 2025, my world changed forever when I lost my son, Owen. In the midst of unimaginable grief, I found myself searching for something to keep my hands busy and my mind focused. I returned to cake decorating, not because it made the pain disappear, but because it gave me a creative outlet during one of the hardest seasons of my life. I began learning new techniques, pushing myself outside my comfort zone, and saying "yes" to more custom orders.
That's how Frosted Chaos was born.
What started as an old passion became something much more meaningful. Frosted Chaos represents creativity, resilience, and finding joy in creating something beautiful for others, even after experiencing profound loss.
Today, every order is handcrafted from scratch with quality ingredients, attention to detail, and genuine care. Whether I'm creating an elegant wedding cake, a whimsical birthday cake, handcrafted chocolate decorations, or a box of sweet treats, my goal is always the same: to create desserts that taste just as amazing as they look and become part of your favorite memories.
