Frosted Chaos was born from healing. Owen's Legacy was born from love.
In 2025, my son, Owen, unexpectedly passed away. Through organ donation, he gave the gift of life to others. During my journey through grief, I found healing by returning to my passion for cake decorating, and Frosted Chaos was born. Owen's Legacy is my way of honoring him by giving back every single month.
Every month, 50% of the profits from every Owen's Legacy Sampler Pack sold are donated to a featured organization or community cause.
Owen had the biggest heart, a quick wit, and a way of making people laugh. He loved trying new things, spending time with the people he loved, and finding joy in the little moments.
Even after his passing, Owen continued changing lives through organ donation. His generosity inspired me to create something that would continue giving back in his honor.
Owen's Legacy isn't just about cupcakes. It's about choosing kindness, helping others, and proving that one life can continue making a difference long after it's gone.
One day, years ago, I asked Owen what kind of dessert he wanted.
He smiled and said, "I know, but I don't want to tell you because it sounds weird."
Of course, I convinced him to tell me anyway.
Finally, he said... "Strawberry shortcake."
I laughed and told him there was nothing weird about strawberry shortcake.
Then he looked at me and said... "…but I don't want to use a fork."
At that point, I had to agree—it did sound a little weird!
So together, we came up with a way to enjoy his favorite dessert without needing a plate or a fork. That simple conversation inspired what would eventually become my Pink Sass cupcake.
Years later, after losing Owen, I found myself returning to baking as a way to heal. As Frosted Chaos began to grow, I knew I wanted to create something that honored him—not just his memory, but his joyful spirit, his creativity, and the little moments that made him who he was.
That's how Owen's Legacy was born.
